The Coffs Coast has secured more than $440,000 in funding for local infrastructure projects through the NSW Government’s 2025 Community Building Partnership Program.
The $41 million program ensures local organisations and councils across the state have the facilities to support more vibrant and inclusive communities.
Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said this year’s CBP grants will help bring to life many projects in our community.
“These vital funds will deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities right across our region,” Mr Singh said.
“It’s great to see this grassroots funding supporting local projects that make a real difference in our community.”
The successful Coffs Coast projects include:
- PCYC Coffs Harbour – gym equipment upgrade $10,502
- Coffs Coast Tigers Football Club – mower purchase $28,890
- Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary – wildlife rescue on the move $50,000
- Sawtell Chamber of Commerce – festoon light upgrade $14,333
- Coffs Regional Community Gardens – disabled access footpath $18,000
- Autism Spectrum Australia – fencing repair $28,600
- The North Coast Equestrian Club – cross country course improvement $37,950
- South Coffs Community Garden – new greenhouse $15,632
- Life Education NSW – enhanced learning environment $13,862
- Nana Glen Memorial Hall and Community Centre – hall improvements $14,250
- Coffs Harbour Swimming Club – digital scoreboard $36,053
- Coffs Harbour and District Amateur Radio Club – equipment refurbishment $10,546
- Coffs Harbour Legacy Welfare Fund – new vehicle for op shop $70,000
- Gamumbi Early Childhood Education Centre – outdoor classroom $26,000
- Sawtell Art Group – art gallery rejuvenation $28,960
- Careflight Ltd – stretcher for patient transport – $12,323
The Community Building Partnership Program has funded more than 22,400 community projects since its 2009 inception.
Local not-for-profit community organisations and councils were eligible to apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, with up to $450,000 allocated per electorate.
