Sawtell’s night-time economy will be seen in a new light with a rollout of unique events and festivities designed to re-energise the business precinct.
Sawtell Chamber of Commerce and Another Tasty Event have come together to plan a program of activities which they are confident will be embraced by the local community.
Both organisations joined forces to successfully apply for NSW Government funding under the Regional Night-Time Economy Program, ensuring their ambitions for Sawtell can now be realised.
“I congratulate Sawtell Chamber of Commerce and Another Tasty Event on their collective vision for the development of a thriving, vibrant local economy day and night,” said Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh.
“In fact, Sawtell is among 10 regional NSW towns to share in $2 million in funding under this pilot program to support the growth of their night-time economies.
“This funding support is vital for the Sawtell business community as it further develops strategies and ideas on how best to support their local 24-hour economy through initiatives such as marketing campaigns and activations.”
Mr Singh said the Sawtell Chamber and Another Tasty Event are working with local businesses and organisations on a program of night-time events, with details to be announced soon.
