A NEW GREENHOUSE FOR OUR COMMUNITY GARDEN

The South Coffs Community Garden has received a welcome funding boost with a $15,632 NSW Government grant under the 2025 Community Building Partnership program.

Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said the grant will enable the Community Garden to install a freestanding polycarbonate greenhouse to allow year-round production of seedlings, cuttings and plants.

“This will enable the public to produce their own fruit and vegetables, a fantastic initiative,” Mr Singh said.

“The all-weather, all-year greenhouse will allow a greatly extended season for production of the seedlings, cuttings and plants which are then offered to the public at weekly and monthly market stalls.

“The South Coffs Community Garden is at the heart of our community, helping to bring together people with a shared interest in growing vegetables and plants.

“It’s a place where new friendships grow and new skills are cultivated.”

The Coffs Coast secured more than $440,000 in funding for local infrastructure projects through the 2025 Community Building Partnership program.
