Operators of new and established events on the Coffs Coast are encouraged to apply for their share of $1.5 million, with applications open for the new round of the Regional Event Fund.
The fund is designed to provide support for events across our regions to drive tourism for local communities.
Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said it’s a great opportunity for local businesses and event managers to get involved.
“Under the Minns Labor Government, funding has been repeatedly slashed to the regions, so we need to fight for every dollar we can get,” said Mr Singh, Shadow Minister for Tourism, Emergency Services and the North Coast.
“The Coffs Coast is a fantastic location for events of all sizes, with thriving small businesses and a vibrant hospitality scene, and we’re ready to welcome more visitors.
“I urge all events, big and small, emerging and established, to throw their hat in the ring and submit their application.”
There are three funding streams available:
- The Incubator Event stream that aims to support the establishment of new events in their first or second year by providing up to $20,000 of seed funding. Closes 9 April.
- Flagship Event stream for events that have been running for over two years can receive up to $20,000 to increase their profile and promote visitation. Closes 9 April.
- Event Development stream for established events that have previously completed triennial funding through the Flagship Event stream can apply for grants of up to $50,000. Remains open until funds are exhausted.
