Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh says an $85,000 NSW Government grant will deliver welcome upgrades at the Woolgoolga Art Gallery.
Mr Singh congratulates Woolgoolga Art Group on its successful application under the Stronger Country Communities Fund for the Woolgoolga Art Gallery renovations project.
“I’m looking forward to seeing this project take shape. The Woolgoolga Art Gallery is an important part of our community and it will become an even more attractive place to visit once this vital upgrade is complete,” Mr Singh said.
“The work includes closing in a front courtyard, providing a more secure and appealing front entrance, and expanding total exhibition wall space.
“New entrance arrangements will provide improved accessibility and enable volunteers to better perform front desk duties welcoming visitors and providing information as they enter the gallery.
“The renovations will also facilitate more flexible use of one of the exhibition wings in case additional workshop/class space is required, or for hosting functions.”
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole said 435 projects across every single one of the state’s 93 regional Local Government Areas (LGAs) would receive funding under Stronger Country Communities Fund Round Four.
“The Stronger Country Communities fund delivers guaranteed investment in every single regional LGA in NSW, and has seen $500 million invested across more than 1900 local projects since 2017,” Mr Toole said.
