COFFS COAST GEARS UP FOR NEW MOTORSPORT FESTIVAL

The inaugural 2021 Coffs Coast Festival of Motor Sport is set to become a signature event for our region, said Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh.

Mr Singh said he’s proud the NSW Government is providing $50,000 in funding to help with the staging of the extravaganza, which is set down for 13 to 28 November.

“The Coffs Coast Festival of Motor Sport cements our reputation as a sporting and event mecca,” Mr Singh said.

“The Festival will be a welcome boost to our local economy with as many as 1300 competitors from across Australia taking part. It will also showcase the stunning Coffs Coast.

“I congratulate the team at Coffs Coast Festival of Motor Sport and Coffs City Rotary Club for their drive and passion, and I applaud our community and businesses for supporting this fantastic initiative.

“I’m also extremely pleased for our local motorsport clubs who will be a major part of the Festival’s success.”

The Festival will be held at Coffs Harbour, Raleigh, Kempsey and Grafton and will feature rally, hill climbs, go karting, off road racing, speedway, dirt track, RC racing, motor show, burnout comp and rally cross.

The Massive Motor Show at Coffs Harbour Showground on 13 November, including up to 500 cars and 100 or so motorbikes, will start the festivities with a bang.

Importantly, the Festival will serve as a lead-in to the iconic FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship Coffs Coast (26-28 November).
