The Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium will benefit from $190,000 in funding thanks to the NSW Government’s Creative Capital program, said Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh.
The Conservatorium’s Air Conditioning Replacement is among 82 projects sharing in a total of $11.7 million under Minor Works and Equipment Projects Round 2. They’re the latest to receive funding as part of the $72 million Creative Capital initiative launched in 2021.
Mr Singh said this grant will pay dividends for our community by delivering a much-needed upgrade at our beloved Conservatorium, with a full replacement of the existing air-conditioning system for the performance space and facilities.
“This investment in cultural infrastructure on the Coffs Coast is recognition of the valuable role arts and culture play in the community,” Mr Singh said.
“The NSW Government’s $72 million Creative Capital program aims to boost equity and access to arts and culture facilities. With 165 projects across the state, more people will have access to top-class arts and cultural experiences.”
Mr Singh said he welcomed the NSW Government’s investment to improving arts and cultural venues to be fit-for-purpose for the community, enhancing access and supporting the local economy.
“This funding is helping us deliver state-of-the-art improvements and ensure our local audiences and visitors enjoy high quality cultural experiences. I am delighted the NSW Government has made this possible,” Mr Singh said.
