HIDDEN TREASURES NOW IN THE SPOTLIGHT

The Coffs Coast is celebrating an inspirational woman whose devotion to her community has earnt her a place on the prestigious NSW Hidden Treasures Honour Roll.

Lesley Schoer has contributed enormously to the betterment of the Coffs Coast and in doing so, has enriched the lives of many locals along the way.

She joins the more than 1300 women and girls who have been honoured on the Roll since 2010 for giving their time and energy to helping others.

“Lesley is a remarkable person who has selflessly stepped up time and again when she’s seen a need,” said Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh.

“She has made a lasting impact on our local community through her outstanding leadership at the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium and by contributing to various community groups, including the Cancer Council and Coffs Harbour City Council’s Futures committee.

“Lesley was also instrumental in the establishment of the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden.”

Hidden Treasures is a NSW Government initiative co-ordinated by the NSW Rural Women’s Network.

It’s been quite a year of accolades for Lesley Schoer, named by Mr Singh in March as the 2025 Coffs Harbour Electorate Local Woman of the Year.
