NRL RETURNS TO THE COFFS COAST IN 2022

Footy fever will once again grip the Coffs Coast with the return of the NRL Telstra Premiership in 2022.

Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said he was proud C.ex Coffs International Stadium would again play host to the Sharks and Titans, just like it did earlier this year.

“We’re expecting bumper crowds will flock to the Stadium for the Round 15 game set down for Saturday, 18 June, at 3pm,” Mr Singh said.

“Holding an NRL premiership fixture in Coffs Harbour for the first time this year was truly something special. I’m delighted we are able to continue to deliver for sports fans on the Coffs Coast and beyond in 2022.

“The NSW Government is working with Coffs Harbour City Council to again bring the Sharks and the Titans to Coffs Harbour.

“I congratulate the NRL and the clubs for their continuing focus on bringing games to regional locations like Coffs Harbour.

“Our city has well and truly cemented its place as the premier sporting destination in regional NSW.”

Coffs Harbour City Council is thrilled the NRL will be back in Coffs Harbour.

“We are so excited to be building on the partnership created earlier this year with both the NSW Government and the Cronulla Sharks,” said Council’s Group Leader City Prosperity, Dan Heather.

“Today’s announcement that Coffs Harbour has again secured a game in 2022 of the NRL Telstra Premiership to be played at C.ex Coffs International Stadium is testament to the region’s ability, appetite and passion for attracting and delivering major events, and the top standard of facilities we have on offer.

“I know the Sharkies are excited to be coming back to the Coffs Coast and getting even more involved with the local community both in the lead up to the game and on game day.”
