Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh congratulates the hardworking team at PCYC Coffs Harbour on their $17,535 State Government grant.
Mr Singh said these funds, from the Community Building Partnership program, allow the club to deliver their project to open up the sports court and activity areas.
“I’m pleased this funding enables the PCYC to demolish an existing wall to open up the sports court to the club’s lobby area, and install glazed glass doors,” Mr Singh said.
“These much-needed works will improve airflow, light and visibility, while the glass will retain the heat in the hall and recreation area.
“I commend the PCYC management and staff as they work towards a sustainable model for modernising their Bray St building, which is well used and highly popular in our community.”
Meanwhile, applications are open for the 2021 Community Building Partnership Program, unlocking $27.9m for community infrastructure projects across the State.
Mr Singh said $300,000 is available for projects in each NSW electorate, including ours, and he urges councils and not-for-profits to apply for the funds they need to deliver projects with social, environmental and recreational outcomes.
“Local sports clubs, charities, schools and museums are just some of the groups that benefit from this program,” Mr Singh said.
Applications close on Friday, 14 May.
