Sawtell Surf Life Saving Club members are celebrating a significant security upgrade thanks to funding from the NSW Community Building Partnership Program.
Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh congratulates Sawtell Surf Club on its successful funding application for these vital security improvements at the clubhouse.
“The club has been allocated $23,539 for a new clubhouse security system, which is a welcome safety boost at this much-loved facility,” Mr Singh said.
“Sawtell Surf Club volunteers do a remarkable job as they keep local and visiting beachgoers safe and their membership deserves to enjoy the protection provided by a modern security system.
“The club has been at the very heart of the Sawtell community since its establishment in 1932 and its membership continues to grow each year.
“We’re indebted to their vigilance on the beach and their contributions to our community.”
The Sawtell Surf Club security upgrade is among 13 local projects across the Coffs Coast funded in this round of the Community Building Partnership Program.
