SITE ANNOUNCED FOR NEW COFFS HARBOUR AMBULANCE STATION

The Coffs Harbour community is a step closer to gaining a new ambulance station with the preferred site announced today.
The new purpose-built ambulance station will be at 72 Marcia St, providing the optimal location to service the community.
NSW Ambulance and Health Infrastructure worked to identify the new location using best practice demand modelling software which maps Triple Zero calls, and determined the Marcia Street site as the most suitable location for mobile emergency care in the region.
Today marks the next step in delivering a new ambulance station for the community, which will ensure local paramedics have access to the latest facilities to best serve the emergency medical care needs of the Coffs Harbour region.
The new station will provide a high quality base for paramedics and ensure they’re well equipped to help people in their hour of need.
The station is due for completion in 2022 and will replace the facility located at Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
It will feature internal parking for up to 12 emergency ambulance vehicles, relief accommodation for paramedics, an internal wash bay, administration and office areas, logistics and storage and staff parking.
👉Next steps include further due diligence, community engagement, design development and securing planning approval for the new station.
